Your teeth need to be bleached every day for about 2 weeks. It is best to stay away from any food or drink that can stain the teeth during this time for the best results. We use carbamide peroxide as the whitening agent which can only be sourced by a registered dentist from a regulated supplier. This will not damage the enamel of your teeth and tooth whitening is completely safe. The only side effect is that you may experience some tooth sensitivity during treatment. This is completely reversible and will go away after treatment. Teeth whitening will only whiten natural tooth enamel so any white fillings, veneers or crowns will not change colour. These may have to be replaced after whitening. Teeth whitening is not permanent and your teeth may gradually go back to their natural colour. Due to this it is necessary to re apply your bleaching trays/gels at regular intervals to maintain your whiter tooth colour.
